  • HSLC Meeting

The Historical Lighting Society of Canada (HLSC) will hold their next meeting in Coburg, Ontario, on April 9 and 10, 2010 at the Best Western Hotel.  There will be a Friday night informational seminar, presented by Stan Walker and Tom Logan that will focus on Taking Care of Your Lighting Collection (cleaning of lamps, repair of lamps, etc.).  The formal HLSC meeting will start at noon on Saturday, with the guest speaker being Night Light member Barry Schwartz, who will give a talk on Miniature Lamps.  The cost of the meeting is $30 for lunch and $65 if you are staying for lunch and dinner.  The group room rate will be C$105, plus taxes, if you mention you are an HLSC member.  For more information about the April meeting and the HLSC, visit them at www.historical-lighting.org.

  • National Antique Lamp Show
The International Antique Lighting Show will be held at the Holiday Inn Select in Columbia, Missouri on Saturday, August 7, 2010.  Night Light will participate with a booth and will also be conducting a seminar on miniature lamps.  For now, just mark your calendar – all the details will be in the June newsletter.  As always, this promises to be a great lighting show.

  • 2010 Night Light Convention

Plans are tentative, but we are looking at holding the next Night Light convention at Wheaton Arts (formerly Wheaton Village) in Millville, New Jersey on October 7 – 9, 2010.  Millville is about 45 mile southeast of Philadelphia.  Wheaton Arts has unique shops where artists and craftsmen recreate pottery and glass in the “old-fashioned” way.  Many of these are very interactive and up close and personal.  And, the noted Museum of American Glass is also onsite.  We will be staying at the Country Inn in Millville, directly adjacent to the Wheaton property.  All the details will be in the June newsletter – for now, whet your appetite by visiting www.wheatonarts.org.
